    Blending genres - how to do?

    I would like to blend genres. For example I would like Hard Rock, Classic Rock, Stoner Rock and all other genres ending with "Rock" to map to genre "Rock". I would also want them to appear in their original genres, e.g. Hard Rock. How do I accomplish that?

    I know there is User Rename List (Display / Tag Mapping) feature but what is the syntax for that for this case for example? Is there a comprehensive manual somewhere in the web?

    We do not have this option, sorry.

      My suggestion would be to update your tags for the desired outcome.

      You could use multiples:
      GENRE=Rock; Hard Rock

      Alternatively, you could implement STYLE:
      GENRE=Rock
      STYLE=Hard Rock

        Yes this would be preferable, using PerfectTUNES you can change all genres 'Hard Rock' to Rock in one selection.
