Help please with Db converter/ Existing source files(s)

I've had an issue pop up that I can not find a solution to resolve. Normal operation an MP3 file to AIFF would convert the source file in the same folder. Now the software creates a new folder and I need help for a solution to correct this. Where or what should I be looking for?

    The original file ~ MUSIC/Music AIFF/artist/album/file.mp3

Using the converter with output selected as Existing Source Folder(s) it Creates Music/Music Aiff[/I][/B]/artist/album/file.aiff

Any help with direction to correct this would be appreciated

          Version 16.1

A little background, I've discovered through using JRiver media center that both my back up and main libraries were missing album art and meta data. I can't be certain as to how or when it became lost. Now I am in the process of rebuilding a back up and the main library.

I should have noticed this issue only occurs when converting files on the NAS drive that is connected via ethernet and not on the drive connected directly to the Mac Mini. It only creates the alternate file on the NAS drive and not the drive connected directly to the mac

You need to update to R16.8, there have been many bug fixes in the years since R16.1

Re: Help please with Db converter/ Existing source files(s)

If the problem persists in R16.8, please follow these steps:
                • Open dBpoweramp settings, Converter tab, toggle Music Converter Debug.
                • Perform the problematic conversion.
                • Debug log files will be created in your Documents folder, for each converted file, named: DBDebug-NNNN.txt, where NNNN is a number.
                • Post contents of a debug log file from a problematic conversion, or email it to me at peter@dbpoweramp.com.
                • Make sure to uncheck Music Converter Debug when finished.

Note that you might encounter "dBpoweramp has crashed" messages when using the Music Converter Debug option. The problem is known has no other consequences (dBpoweramp application continues to run); just make sure to turn Music Converter Debug off when done.
