    Metadata Numpty

Hi all, new here and feeling a bit clueless. I have ripped many CDs but some won’t go where I would expect them to. For example, Jethro Tull insists on going under T, and I want it under J. How do I achieve this? All help appreciated.

Remove the 'Artist Sort' tags, as these will be set as 'Tull, Jethro'

Thank you Spoon. I had tried this before, also tried change those values to Jethro Tull. Albums still end up under T. Very frustrating as Teenage Fanclub has gone under T and not F, so it&*8217;s all a bit inconsistent. Thanks again for trying to help though.

When you say "Jethro Tull" is going under "T", do you mean in your music player/library (and what is it that you are using?) or do you mean in the case of file explorer (listing of files and folders on your hard drive)?
