Converting .iso or dsd files to 24/88.2
Apologies if this has been asked and answered many times.
dbpoweramp seems to default to 24/96 conversion of DSD files.
Is there a way to change the output from 24/96 to 24/88.2
when converting a DSD file(or for that matter other resolutions)?
If so can someone please list the steps necessary to do this?
I have hunted around for an answer to this and so far I have
been stymied.
Thank you.

I will add that I changed the DSD Decoder to 88.2, however the resulting
flac files are still converting 24/96.

You changed this option in dBpoweramp Control Center >> Codecs List/Options?

Re: Converting .iso or dsd files to 24/88.2
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, at Control Center >> Codecs List/Options, at the DSD Decoder
drop down I changed the rate to 88.2. Did I need to do it elsewhere
or do something other that I didn't do.
To be redundant, I converted DSD files after changing the rate.
The result was 24/96 not the desired 88.2.

If you go back into that menu option, it still shows 88KHz?

Re: Converting .iso or dsd files to 24/88.2
Yes. It still shows 88.2 under the DSD Decoder (Decoding Down Sampling).

Just tried with R17 (you can get this test version in the 'Testing section' of this forum), it correctly converted to 88.2KHz

Re: Converting .iso or dsd files to 24/88.2
Thank you once again for being kind enough to reply.
Okay, I downloaded and installed the Beta. Again, all
worked well except the files that resulted still show up as
24/96 as indicated in Windows Explorer (WE) (is there a way other
than what is indicated in Windows Explorer to check the .flac files
to make sure what the conversion rate is? Perhaps WE
is giving a spurious conversion rate? It has been my experience that
WE has been accurate).
Also, I want to make sure that I am not doing something incorrectly.
So, first I am converting .iso files in Sonore ISO2DSD into DSD64 2.8334Mhz
files. I thought perhaps there was a setting in Sonore that I was somehow
missing but if there is I cannot find it.
I apologize for the futility involved here. I find this vexing and I
am sure you might be annoyed especially if I am missing something
obvious. Again, I appreciate you patience and attention.
Best regards,
L

Re: Converting .iso or dsd files to 24/88.2
Hi,
I finally figured it out...I think. The resampling rate setting that is applied at the
time of conversion was set to 96 and not 88.2. So it seems that there are 2 independent
settings that need to be attended to? I did not realize this and thought that only the
DSD Decoder section in List/Options needed changing. I have a feeling that this is
fairly obvious and may be why you didn't mention (or maybe you did and I just missed it).
In any case, thank you so much for your help. It greatly reduces anxiety to know that
someone is kind enough to take the time to help alleviate frustration:-).
With great appreciation,
L

You said in your first message you were converting to FLAC, that has no resampling option.
