WavPack encoder problem
If I use the WavPack Release 13 codec to encode a WAV file, and then decode the WV file back to WAV using wvunpack.exe (the current 5.2.0 version), the decoded WAV file is not identical to the original WAV. Eight bytes in the RIFF chunk are different: the RIFF ChunkSize which gets changed to 0x26, and the data Subchunk2Size which gets changed to 0. This of course makes the file unplayable.
If I decode the WV file using the dMC Wave decoder, the output is identical to the original WAV.
The WavPack Release 10 encoder doesn't have this problem.

Re: WavPack encoder problem
It sounds like an issue with the Wvunpack 5.2, you have reported it?

Re: WavPack encoder problem
Well, no, because wavpack.exe/wvunpack.exe is the official standard, so I would expect the issue is with the third party tool that's based on the standard.

Re: WavPack encoder problem
We have reported to the wavpack author, lets see what he says.

Re: WavPack encoder problem
Thanks for looking into it.
For now, would it be possible to get a copy of the Release 11 codec?
