Installation issue

I've just changed Macs and downloaded both Poweramp and Perfectunes to my new machine. They both installed OK and operate fine but each time I open either the download installer icon appears on my Desktop. This hasn't happened before and occours whether I open the program from Launchpad or from the Dock. I'm running Mojave 10.14.6 Any ideas why this happens ?

You should eject the install from the desktop, then delete the install files you ran. The icons should be in the launcher to run.
