CD ripper 14.4 stopped working and new version doesn’t help

I used to have R14.4 which worked fine on Win7. I recently noticed that my MP3 and FLAC rips have a tiny file size (few 100‘s kB) only. I installed R16 with the same behavior unfortunately. I reset the drive offset and now it doesn’t detect key CD‘s nor does it find any CD in the AccurateRip database. I have 2 internal drives which exhibit the same behavior. No DSP‘s used btw and I‘m encoding with 320kps AVR for MP3 and level 8 for FLAC.
Any clue will be much appreciated

        Using Windows 7?

Try starting it in Safe Mode with Networking. Then rip a cd.

          Yes still running Windows 7.

Ripping the CD in Safe Mode with Networking doesn’t change anything unfortunately. File sizes are ~300kB and it shows speed of 130x during rip. Don’t know what to make of this insanely high speed &*129300;.

          Drives iHAS524 A & Pioneer DVR221L

Could be many many settings, best to reset to default:

...also how to do a full reset of dBpoweramp? (if dBpoweramp crashes for some reason) Where does dBpoweramp save its files / settings? It is installed to c:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp or c:\Program Files (x86)\Illustrate\dBpoweramp The 64 bit version of dBpoweramp is installed to: c:\Program Files\dBpoweramp It

After this try ripping a CD on default settings.

I did as you suggested and everything works like a charm again. Thanks for the prompt answer and support Spoon!
