    Use of alternative metatags in Asset for Synology

    All my music tracks have a tag called Grouping. The tag is used as a Opus function, i.e. clusters tracks into a specific work (mostly classical music). This tag is for me an ideal search tag. How do I make this tag usable in Asset for Synology.

      These are instructions for the Windows version. For Linux/Mac/QNAP, see below. Asset has the ability to display custom ID Tags (non-standard), with a little configuring. For example your FLAC library contains a unique tag of 'MOOD', you can add this to asset by: Start >> Run >> Regedit: Browse to:

          Thanks. I looking for Synology support. Further question: why is this so complicated. Minimserver does it automatically for free.

              Amended the info for Asset R6.3 just now. No need to manually edit files on your device anymore.
