    invisible cd drive

    dbpoweramp does not see my internal cd drive on macbook pro (no disc inserted),itunes reads the cd okay ,it has worked up till recently i wonder if it has anything to do with recent mac OS update?

      yes, the Catalina update has caused problems with accessing drives by certain software. Has to do with granting permission. See this thread to solve:

      macOS Catalina (or newer) introduces per program security access settings, normally OS X will ask when the program tries to access something if it should be granted permission. This security setting can also be set at a later date, click the Apple menu icon: System Preferences >> Security & Privacy >>
