Thread: CODECs not for OSX versions?

  1. #1

    CODECs not for OSX versions?

I am confused about the usability of the CODECs with the OSX versions of DBPoweramp and Perfect Tunes. In particular I need to use the utility CODEC "Tag from Filename" because I have thousands of ripped tracks where the identification info is in the file name, and no ID tags were written in the FLAC files.

Is it possible to use this utility CODEC and the other Codec offerings with the OSX (Mac) software?

    Thanks very much.

They are already built into the OSX version:

    https://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmchelposx/dMCConfig.htm

see the section enabling utility codecs.

Thanks very much! I will read the documentation more carefully. I was confused by the text about Windows on the CODEC Central page.
