Thread: New Drive, Drive Clacking on certain tracks, inaccurate rips

New Drive, Drive Clacking on certain tracks, inaccurate rips

I have an internal drive LG HL-DT-ST BD-RE WH16N40. I am trying to rip Audio CDs. On specific tracks, I get clicking/clacking and very slow rips, that always come up inaccurate. I bought a new external drive thinking it was the drive, Rioddas External CD Drive, USB 3.0, but same problem.

Could this be a bad burn of the original disc? There are several in the audiobook series with the same problem, inferior manufacturing?

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences.

Have you C2 pointers enabled? If so, disable it as a test.

The box was not checked, so it wasn't enabled.

Are the rips secure at least? Being not accurate could be a problem of missing database entries for those discs.
