CD Ripper can't find metadata although Windows Media Player can

Sorry for this question apparently in the wrong place, but does anyone know where Windows Media Player gets its metadata from? Can CD Ripper be pointed to the same place? I tried to rip Kenneth Leighton: Organ Works, a 3 CD set by Resonus but CD Ripper didn't find the artwork or track information, but Windows Media Player running under Windows 10, (and supposedly no longer supported) did find everything. I was running CD Ripper 15.3 and it didn't find the metadata, so I upgraded to R16 but that still didn't help. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Microsoft have their own metadata library for internal use only.
