    Question Supported NAS

    Hi there,
New to this forum. I've used Poweramp for years but not as my UPNP. Now my old NAS has crashed and i need to replace. I only use for music storage and serving at home, so a single bay with a good HDD is sufficient. QNAP or Synology? Thoughts?

Thanks Spoon. Any limitations on currency of device? especially Synology where I believe support for Asset is relatively new.

It is the exact same program on both, just compiled for each platform. So identical.

    Re: Supported NAS

    Hi Spoon,
So, now I have a QNAP TS-128A single bay NAS (named MusicNAS and identified as 192.168.0.4) populated with my music files under the Public directory. I am not technical and am struggling to get Asset to find my files. Can you tell me how to do this? I am guessing its something like '//192.168.0.4/Public/Music/' ...
I am surprised there isn't a 'browse and pick' option...

    Re: Supported NAS

The music folder would have been auto found by asset, it would most likely be:

    /share/Music

    or

    /share/Public/Music

there is no 192.168.0.1 as the NAS cannot browse its self this way.
