Naim NDX & Synology
I play DSD files with Asset config set to 'as is'. It seems OK but as the Naim DAC is DoP compatible, is there any advantage to play (reset) to 'as DoP'

DSD handling: 'as is' sends untouched audio/x-dff or audio/x-dsf. 'as Wav' decodes the DSD to PCM. 'as DoP' embeds the DSD bitstream into a WAVE file, requires a DoP compatible DAC, only DSD64 files are supported
Possibly no difference in your case.

Thanks.
My concern was with OS load & the possibility of maximising SQ by selecting the option with lowest OS load.
I've tried it both ways & I can't hear any difference, hence the question. I'll leave 'as is'
Hi Mike,
I also have DSF & DFF set to “as is” on Asset.
I have my UPnP Bridge set to DoP for DSD support
Both are seen by my NDS (4.8) as “DSD64”
Thanks,
Simon
Hi Simon, fancy meeting you over here
Thanks for posting, per my first post, I play DSD 'as is' straight to the NDX & it too displays "DSD64"
I've tried playing 'as DoP' but it makes no difference that I can hear.
As the NDX can receive & play straight DSD & I was just wondering if going via DoP would ease the OS load with a potential of better SQ.
Whatever I'll stick with 'as is'
