    Controlling access to asset

Hi, am trialling Asset which I have successfully installed on my Synology NAS where my music is stored. I use the Naim app on iPad and iPhone to access Asset on the Synology NAS, and play it to my main Naim system in the living room.
On the same ethernet net work , in my study I have a MacBook Pro, and currently have a year subscription to Roon Core on that, which I use to play the music from the NAS out of the MacBookPro via usb to a Chord Mojo DAC and hence to a pair of desktop Ruark active speakers.

Is there a way to reach the Asset server on the NAS and play my music via the MacBookPro/MOJO without using Roon? I don't need all the bells and whistles of Roon and I could save some cash? Would I need other software?
    Thanks for any advice.
    Colin

You would need a UPnP renderer for the Mac, there are possibly free ones.

Would the OpenHome player do the trick?
