Listening to library is very slow

Every time I refresh the PerfectTunes library, it takes forever. Almost 5 hours for about 5k tracks. Granted the music is stored on a NAS.

Is this the expected level of performance? MP3tag and Media Monkey are both much faster loading the same library.

How do you refresh? PerfectTUNES does not need to scan the files it already knows about.

When editing, changes are not reflected until I do a rescan, which is very inconvenient because I can't track my progress. So I rescan to see where I am. Is there a way to make the application show changes as they are made without doing a rescan?

You should restart the program, the program self scans only changed tracks.

Unless you tick the clear cache button, then it rescans everything.

Thanks, helps to know changes will be reflected after restarting.
