Problem Adding Custom Tag to QNAP Asset

I have gone through the instructions PeterP outlined for adding a custom tag to Asset on my QNAP but I can't get it to index, although it does appear in the Browse Tree in the configuration.

The tag is "FAVOURITES" and it is either set to 1, or doesn't exist.
I have added the following line to MediaDatabaseFieldsv5.txt:
    favourites,0,NVARCHAR(150)
I have added the following lines to AssetUPnPDefinedBrowseTreev6.txt:
    Favourites{_a_to_z_}{_no_track_list_}
    Favourites\Album

Nothing appears in my control point, but the browse tree shows it there in the text version as above and as attached in the tree.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but no idea what!?

'Nothing appears in my control point,'

Your control point does not show a favourites folder?

Correct. Attached screen shot of control point top level, and more of Asset config browse tree, from Playlists down.

    Did you restart Asset?

Aha! Should have done, but no just a "Rescan all" as per the instructions. Maybe update them to say that?

Another question. As this is tag that is boolean (set or not set) is there a way for the folder to only contain those items with it set? There is currently the "All" and alpha groups. All the alpha groups other than {0-9} will necessarily be empty. And when I select All or {0-9}, there is another step to select "1".
Or - should I perhaps use a bookmark?

You can disable the A to Z for the Favourites item and only add it for Album

Thanks. Almost perfect. Still have to select "1" so I've created a shortcut.
On that - is is possible to hide browse tree elements? I tried not including "Favourites" at all, only referencing it in the shortcut, but that doesn;t work (it needs to be present it seems).
Also - any way to use a custom icon for non-standard browse tree folders?

    You cannot hide Favourites

There is a folder 'AssetImages' where you can name an image file, you will see existing ones in there which are used when browsing the tree.

Thanks Spoon. I'll have a look at the images folder

Is there a way to do the same for shortcuts? I tried with an image for the shortcut I created named "Favourite Albums" (FavouriteAlbums.png) but it doesn't pick it up. I presume it only works for tags defined in the MediaDatabaseFieldsv5.txt?

I assume that by shortcut you mean a container with no corresponding tag.

You have a blank in "Favourite Albums" but not in FavouriteAlbums.png. This could be your problem, but oddly it works in the Windows version of Asset with or without the blank.

It seems the images don't have spaces, as the tags don't. I tried it with both anyway, no joy. And yes, the shortcuts don't have associated tags, just a series of browse tree elements, so my "Favourite Albums" shortcut is to Favourites->1.

Maybe it doesn't work in QNAP then, but it does work in Windows.

Of course you also restarted Asset when you tested?

What is the full text value of the shortcut you have created?

    Favourite Albums**Favourites&+&1

It's only to remove the one step. It works but can't get the image to show.

Hmm. Those asterisks should be hashes - seems the forum software replaces them.
