Help Rip Without Frequent Dropouts in Songs

Hello,
I have tried to rip a seemingly perfect CD of the Who "Quadrophenia" yet on a few songs there are frequent dropouts of the audio when played back. Any help greatly appreciated.

Did you get error messages? If not, there a two other possible reasons:

1.) your palyback device has problems
2.) the mastering of the CD has errors

I've read several comments about "Quadrophenia" from The Who, that it has a very bad mastering and several audio problems. So I think, the second reason is the problem. In that case there is no real help.
