    Device disconnected error message

When I access Asset, I can navigate to my music and see my albums etc. As soon as I try to play a track the Device disconnected error message appears. Tried running as Service rather than Local Account and got same error message. Updated to 6.1, same issue. Checked Kaspersky firewall and Asset is allowed. Using Windows 10 with my music held on a Western Digital drive. Would welcome some advice.

Thanks for your support. I&*8217;m streaming the music wirelessly to a Samsung DLNA television. I&*8217;ve also checked that my computer and TV are using the same 2G wireless network as I have a dual band Netgear router. Asset has worked in the past with this TV and stopped a few weeks back. I&*8217;ve also tried uninstalling then installing Asset again with the same error message.

All are mp3 @ 192 using dBpoweramp to convert from 320 to save space. I’ve been using both Illustrate apps for a long time. Asset is used more or less exclusively for playing music on my TV. I tried to tune in to one of the radio stations. Same thing, I can click through the folder tree but when I try to play I get the error message.

All the files are mp3 at 192 converted from 320 by dBpoweramp to save space. I have been using both Illustrate apps for a long time. Asset is used mainly to play music on my TV. I tried to tune in to a radio station using Asset. As with my music I was able to follow the folder tree no problem but the selected radio station would not play. Same error message of Device disconnected. My music collection has 3500 albums in it roughly 51000 tracks.

What is the exact error message, where does it appear (on the TV?) and which device is it referring to?

The exact message on TV is Device disconnected Device name Asset UPnP HBM Desktop.

Try in the Asset advanced settings page, set mp3 to be served 'as lpcm', then restart asset and re-select the tracks to play on the TV.

I may be missing something here. Opening Edit Advanced Settings does not show an option to set mp3 etc. There is an option in General Settings which I ticked the box L24 24 bit LPCM supported. This time when accessing Asset on my TV, I was able to select a track which played for a few seconds then I get the Device disconnected error message again.

No, the setting is not in General Settings, but in Audio Format Streaming.

Change the setting MP3 as is to MP3 as LPCM.

I have changed the setting but still getting the same result. Can navigate to the folders OK, sometimes the track will play for a few seconds before returning the error message, sometimes not.

It suggests there is a network issue somewhere.

Are you able to connect the Windows 10 PC and the Samsung TV to the Netgear router using ethernet cables, as a test to rule out any wi-fi issues?
