    Telarc CD taking 5.6 hours???

I am trying to convert a Telarc CD to AIFF using default settings, and according to the time estimator it's going to take over 5 HOURS to convert this. I'm using a MacBook Pro with SSD HDD with 8GB of RAM!

Why is this going to take over 5 HOURS???

Is this behaviour the same for any CD? Perhaps the Telarc CD has errors i.e. is scratched/damaged?

The Telarc CD is brand new and has no scratches or any damage...

I'm not sure I have my patches set correctly, but I can't find a tutorial for a guide on setting them up!

a brand new cd can still have non visible defects. The key question is whether you have the same issue of long ripping time with other CDs.
