Yes, select Highest Quality Mode and set Speed Limit to [no limit], as those should be the default settings.

or instead of your external HD, when playing from the work-PC.

        Hi Garym,

On my PC, I use a Western Digital (mains powered) 1TB external-HD. It is from this that I listen to my music, via foobar, through my PC.

I forgot to say that I tried re-ripping 'Miles On The Corner' CD twice on Monday; but the results have remained unchanged.

Please confirm that the 'Miles On The Corner' flacs are not corrupt by running Test Conversion on them. If they are corrupt, you will receive a confirmation message, else Test Conversion will just Finish, without any message.

                mville,

I only scanned one drive as it took around 45 mins.

                Please see screenshot:

                Cheers.

Based on all you have tested, it is NOT the files.

That is, you did click on the FINISH button in the lower right side of your screenshot picture, and no error message popped up.

The scan I ran was on the FLACs I recently transferred onto my C-drive (just as a means of extra back-up).

I think I CLOSED the program by clicking the 'X' in the top right hand corner! Damn, I will have to run the scan again to be sure ...

You realize you can convert just the 2 or 3 Miles Davis albums you&*8217;re hearing the problems. You dont have to test convert the entire disk. Should take about 1 minute.

Yes, I suppose I could have. But I have experienced the odd glitch with other FLACs also; so I thought I may as well just do the whole lot again; plus from a different drive.

I didn't think it mattered HOW I closed the Test Converter regarding whether or not the pos./neg. results are presented. At least I know for the future now, thanks.

                                48 mins to go ...
