Making an album or artist list from a music library?

Hi folks -- Pardon the simplistic question ... would appreciate your response:

I have a flac music library (ripped from DB) stored on NAS drive and would like to create a simple, list of artists OR artists and album titles (no music files/no song titles necessary) that I can either print out or email to friend. I use WORD and Windows 10, I have approx. 1000 album titles.

Best way?

If you have organized your music files by Artist\Album you can open a command line, go to the parent folder and type:

dir /AD /S /ON /B > mymusic.txt

Afterwards you can edit the text file and delete unwanted Infos or lines.

Thank You, Dat Ei! But I may not fully understand: What do you mean by the "parent folder?" Is that the name of the main folder on the NAS Drive where the music files are stored. In my case, my WD MYCloud NAS drive comes pre-labeled with a folder simply called MUSIC. (?)
