C2 stopped working on this drive?
I have an HP Blu-ray burner that has served as my primary ripping drive for several years. Up until now, I had no problems using this drive with C2 pointers enabled. After upgrading the motherboard and CPU (basically, a new PC build), I can no longer rip any CD with C2 enabled. Testing for C2 produces a false positive almost immediately, even on pristine discs. So, now I have C2 turned off and the drive is now accurately ripping most discs I throw at it.
Any ideas as to why this has happened?

It is likely the SATA interface which is incompatible with C2 pointers. You might try going in the bios and change the mode the SATA interface operates on.

Thanks for the suggestion. One thing I failed to mention is that my second ripping drive still supports C2.
