    Question JPeg vs. PNG?

    Hi folks,

I have been using JPeg format, exclusively, for all of my folder-art CD images. I always believed this was the best format for this particular task. However, a friend recently told me that PNG is much better/clearer than the former.

I am not going to re-do all of my art-works again!, and I am not even sure if you can use PNG within 'dBpa', but is it true that one format is superior to the other, please?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Paul

For compatibility jpeg is king. When dBpoweramp saves the jpeg files, they are not hugely compressed, so are high quality files.

    OK, thanks a lot Spoon.

So are you saying that there can be some issues if using PNGs?

    Cheers,

    Paul

Yes, not all programs will be compatible with it.
