Thread: Using Perfect Tunes on a Mac. How do I import songs?

  1. #1

Exclamation Using Perfect Tunes on a Mac. How do I import songs?

Just got a Mac and cannot figure out how to import songs into Perfect Tunes. I have WAV files that I need to tag.

I find the folder on the left side of the screen, then what? When I click on the folder my songs do not appear anywhere.

    Help!

It could be a permissions issue, try copying one or 2 wave files to the MAC hdd then browse to that location.

Yes there are files in the Cream folder, but they're not showing up in Perfect Tunes.

I tried from the Mac too, and I can't get any songs to appear in Perfect Tunes. Is it because I have the trial edition?

I have no idea and only use the windows version of PerfectTUNES. Spoon may have some more ideas.

Last week I was able to use it on my Windows PC. Unfortunately that PC died and I bought a new iMac. I can't believe that I can't import songs to PT using an iMac. It was so easy on Windows. I can find the music folder, but the songs just don't appear. I can't drag and drop either. @Spoon Hope you can help because I'd really like to buy this program for my new iMac.

When I select the Cream folder, as in the attached screen shot in post *3, should the songs just appear or am I missing something?

Yes, any audio files should be listed in the right-hand window pane.

As a test try putting an mp3 file in that folder, does it show the file?

    Yes it shows the MP3

But I all my files are lossless wav

    So what's the next step?

    Here's something odd

    I've attached a screen cap

    Screen Shot 2018-06-13 at 12.36.16 PM.jpg

The McCartney song is the MP3. The highlighted blue row under McCartney is the Cream song. It doesn't display anything except the time length of the song

Prior to the McCartney MP3 being in the same folder, the Cream song would not show up. It's almost like the Cream WAV needed the McCartney MP3 in the same folder just to be visible.

In Album Edit Mode there isn't a place to put the title of the song?

I did it in Mixed Track Editing but it didn't save. Is that because it's an unregistered version?
