    Album arts are not shown

I purchased Asset UPnP 6.1 for QNAP and installed it.
I tried it with Linn Kazoo (Win, Android), Asset Control Configuration (Win), and LUMIN (Android).
But, Album arts are NOT shown in album list.
In track list, they are correctly shown.
And, Upstream Artwork does not work.
    Trial version had no problem.

Try to uninstall, then reinstall. Then do a full rescan in asset (refresh all).

I uninstalled Asset, reboot QNAP, reinstall Asset, and did a full rescan.
But, album arts are still not shown in album list, same as before.
I checked OFF "Support server-side album art resizing", because, if checked on, album arts are never shown in track list also.

What exact QNAP model are you using?

Re: Album arts are not shown

I've uninstalled Asset R6.1 (premium version) again, then installed the trial version that I downloaded May 6.
This trial Asset is version R6, and album arts are shown properly, and "Upstream Artwork" works well.
"Support server-side album art resizing" seems have no problem too.
Can I get Asset R6 (not R6.1) premium?

I'm having the same issue with the same Qnap NAS, TS-231P. Using the Naim app, the Asset logo doesn't appear in the server selection screen. No cover art under Artist or Album. Cover art displays fine on the Now Playing screen.

Also, it's not showing the usual musical note indicating that there isn't cover art, it's just showing the black background.

That is just same as my case.

Re: Album arts are not shown

    Thanks for the bug report.

There are some archived beta versions of Asset R6.1:
    beta 9
    beta 8
    beta 7
    beta 6
    beta 5
    beta 4
    beta 3
    beta 2
    beta 1

It would be most helpful if you could try these, starting from the newest to the oldest, and report what which is the newest version that works properly / which is the oldest that is broken.

For reference, I have R6.1 running on QNAP TS-251, TS-259 and TS-469 and no sign of the bug, so it must be somehow device-specific.

Edit: TS-109 booted up and running Asset R6.1... no bug either.. I'm surprised we still run on THAT one

New version for you to test-

    https://dbpoweramp.com/beta/Asset_R6.1-test1.qpkg

Some of the beta1=>beta2 changes have been reverted. Please report if this version works.

If this version does not work:
    • Enable debug logging in configuration, apply
    • Attempt to browse it to cause the bug to manifest itself
    • Download configuration dump (normal), email to peter@dbpoweramp.com for analysis

    Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for the bug reports, and to yken for the configuration snapshot, it has been most interesting. The problem is being actively investigated, I'll get back to you as soon as I have a new solution to try.

Re: Album arts are not shown

Three builds for you to test, please try all 3 and report which works and which does not.
    https://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/Asset-test2v1.qpkg
    https://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/Asset-test2v2.qpkg
    https://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/Asset-test2v3.qpkg

    Thanks.

    EDIT:
Please do full uninstall cycle when testing these - uninstall the previous version then install new.
While normally we recommend installing over the old version, this particular bug is known to cause database corruption which will remain if you update without uninstalling.
