    MediaDatabaseFields

I am trying to add some new fields.

I've always used the most current file like "MediaDatabaseFieldsv(*).txt IN the AppData\Roaming\dBpoweramp\uMediaLibrary\ folder.

Currently on Version 6 (file version 6.0.0.1)

File added new fields to is MediaDatabaseFieldsv6.txt

But after doing a complete reload and dumping the DB I do not see the new fields.

    Has something changed?

Try adding the new fields to MediaDatabaseFieldsv5.txt and not MediaDatabaseFieldsv6.txt.

      Did that.
Got the same results. No change. Same fields found when dumped database to text

Sorry, I'm not sure why that is. I have Asset R6.1 for windows and have added a custom field to MediaDatabaseFieldsv5.txt.

Running uMediaLibrary-dumpdb.exe and my custom field appears in the output text file.

If Asset is running as a Service, then the location you have is incorrect (that is for the local account).

            Running as local account.
Certain I am looking at the right folder based on file modified dates when full refredh done.
I already have numerous custom tags set up.
Is there a maximum number of custom tags allowed?

Just to confirm, the folder is %appdata%\dBpoweramp\uMediaLibrary?

... also, can you post the MediaDatabaseFieldsv5.txt added lines for your custom fields?

                Got it to work.
New fields must be added to the end of the file.
I had added one to the end and one inserted with other custom tags so they would be grouped together with similar tags for ease of management.
When I reverted the file to what it was before making any changes and added both new fields to the end of the file it worked as expected.

Hmmm, I don't think so. My custom field is not at the end of the file. Perhaps the syntax was incorrect on first try.

Anyway, at least you have it working now.
