If you have R6 of Asset then the default tree allows you to choose Arist, or Album, or Title etc after choosing a Genre, if you do not see this selection then your player / control point is not showing Assets browse tree, it is creating its own. If this is true there is nothing you can change in Asset.

I have a browse tree but I am using R5.1 so do I have to download R6 to get this option?

No, you just need to set the Library tree, to show Albums under the Genre section.
I have optimised a Browser tree to operate under the Naim App. See my folder on Dropbox at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/bu8etep76...T2uato_Ha?dl=0 for all sorts of Asset R5 and R6 related material for using Asset on the RaspberryPi.

Any problems, do come back to me.
          Simon.

I suggest you kill all Asset related processes, remove these directories and install R6 in a clean system.

The Linux is "sudo rm -r /usr/bin/asset/bin" and "sudo rm -r /home/pi/.dbpoweramp"

Have you backed up your SD Card, by taking an image, before you start removing directories?

                  Thanks,
                  Simon.

Where has R6 installed itself? Once the installer has run, you need to run the executable from this directory.
I believe it was different to the location used for R5

                      Thanks,
                      Simon.

I followed your pdf instructions, they are the same as Spoons. How do I find that directory?

It will be under the \usr\bin\asset directory, I would imagine, but start with /usr/bin

R6 introduces the concept of multiple instances, each instance then runs from a separate directory etc.
Now my instructions were written against R4, but the principles are still the same.

I notice there is a folder marked asset when file manager opens, which has Asset R6?

I have asset running but as soon as I ctrl-c to return to the command prompt it says "Stopping UPnP service".

If I carry on and enter the new line into the crontab file, save, reboot Asset does not restart.

I can of course restart it using the command line again?
