    dBpoweramp and ID3v2.3

Spoon or PeterP, are the following 2 sentences true?:
The ID3v2.3 specification allows support for multi-value tags. However, dBpoweramp only writes multi-value tags when using ID3v2.4.

    Quote from id3.org (ID3v2.3):

"The text information frames are the most important frames, containing information like artist, album and more. There may only be one text information frame of its kind in an tag."

    Quote from id3.org (ID3v2.4):

"The text information frames are often the most important frames, containing information like artist, album and more. There may only be one text information frame of its kind in an tag. All text information frames supports multiple strings, stored as a null separated list, where null is reperesented by the termination code for the charater encoding."

Id3v2.3 has an unoffical standard of '/' for seperator.

So to confirm, does that mean the ID3v2.3 specification allows support for multi-value tags, unofficially with a '/' separator, however, this is NOT implemented in dBpoweramp?

The specification for ID3v2.3 does not mention multi value tags anywhere. Certain programs use ' / ' which dBpoweramp also does (just tested artist1; artist2) and is written as 'artist 1 / artist 2' to id3 tag.

Thanks for the clarification and is what I originally understood. I just wanted to clear it up, as I have come across a few contradictions on the web, recently.
