    ripping from online streamed audio?

I apologize if this has been asked/answered somewhere, but my searches didn't find it. I'm new to ripping audio and I haven't yet decided on software. dBpoweramp certainly sounds great, but I'd like to use one and not have to have multiple apps for this process.
So, I'm wondering if dBpoweramp has the ability to capture audio being streamed from online sources like Pandora or radio stations. If so, can it capture it as a lossless format (providing it's being streamed in a high-res format)? Thanks for any answers you can provide.

mville, "no" it can't capture streaming audio? Or "no" it can't capture it in a lossless format? Sorry to be obtuse ...

No, it can't capture streaming audio. CD Ripper is an audio CD ripping program.

Way back in 2005 Poweramp had a setting known as dMC Auxiliary Input for recording/ripping streaming audio. Why was it removed and did nothing take its place. I just renewed my Poweramp licence based on a Google post regarding Auxiliary input and streaming Audio. Should have looked at the post date!!

depending on the source of the audio stream, recording it may be illegal (depending on one's country). There seem to be a number of programs that will capture streamed audio (audacity for example I think). But I'm not aware of any ripper programs (much less, secure ripper programs) that also capture streams.
