Exclamation Duplicate files not being converted

    Hi Spoon,

I purchase music from the iTunes store, and regularly purchase clean and explicit versions of releases and tracks, which are differentiated by a ' 1' on the end of the filename. For some reason dBpa doesn't seem to recognise the duplicate files.

    Hey schmitty,

could you please describe what you try to do in detail, what do you expect and what is the result?

If you have set the naming to something like:

    [artist] - [title]

Then both versions of the tracks will have the same values for these and you will be left with just 1 file.

The naming scheme is the same as iTunes
    [IFCOMP]Compilations[][IF!COMP][album artist][]/[album]/[IFMULTI][disc]-[][track] [title]

Are your audio files under Control of iTunes? Are you sure it isn't iTunes, which appends the 1 to the filenames?

Title is not the filename, if you have added '1' to the filename it will not be in the title.

Yes, they are. iTunes appends the ' 1' to the end of the filename, as the title is the same whether it is an explicit or cleaned version.

You would have to change the title to include 'Explict'
