How to use new automatic browse tree item?

The release notes for Asset 6 says:
New option: Able to create a tree item which descends into the tree automatically, for example:

    1980s Pop**Dynamic Browsing&+&Genre&+&Pop&+&Year&+& 1980s

How does one do this? I don't see any instructions in the help, or the in browse tree configuration. Also, will it work with exclusions?

    Thanks

Try this add a new tree entry as:

    TEST**Dynamic Browsing&+&Genre&+&Pop

and it will descend into Pop through dynamic browsing, keep adding items to the end, testing each time. You should be able to do exclusions in the dynamic tree.

Ok, so it can only be done in the raw text version of the browse tree. Makes sense.

But, I tried it - and I got the TEST container, but selecting it I just got an endless spinning wheel.. It's hashes by the way - some reason they come out as asterisks here.

Do you have the Genre Pop? try:

        TEST**Album&+&SomeAlbumName

Yes I do have Pop. And I realise my mistake. The route must match my current tree! My dynamic browsing is under Additional.
I have tried it with normal selections, but I can't get exclusions to work. This is what I'd like to jump to:

          Exclusions for Random Playlists**Additional&+&Dynamic Browsing&+&[Exclude]&+&Genre&+&Rap&+&[Exclude]&+&Genre&+&Musical&+&[Exclude]&+&Genre&+&Instrumental&+&[Exclude]&+&Genre&+&Punk

Anything obviously wrong? The path works in real-time.

There might be hidden spaces, such as ' [Exclude]' add one at a time and find where it gets stuck.

As there are no instructions in the help, it might be a good idea to post some screenshots of the above methods, to aid other users.

Trouble is, screenshots won't necessarily show spaces. Mine above just happens to have the [Exclude] at the start of a line when in web view, so the space is at the end of the one above.

But it would certainly help to have a more detailed guide. I did discover for example that when I excluded rap, this also excluded hip-hop because all my hip-hop is also tagged rap. So having excluded rap, hip-hop was automatically excluded, so when I added it to the exclude list it failed.

Simplest tip I think is to create the shortcut in the browse tree edit screen while descending the real tree from a control point, adding each step as you go.

It would also be nice if these could have an icon, like the star for Additional. It also matches it's function as a bookmark/favourite.
