How to remove ID3 tag - keep being restored

When I use dBpoweramp to clear Id3 tag entries, the entries simply return.

The web seems to say this is because they are ID3V2 tags which are embedded into the file.

Is there any way to remove them with the tools, permanently?
    Thanks.

All ID3 tags are embedded within the file. Where else do you think they are going to be stored?

You can use the dBpoweramp Edit ID-Tag context menu option to delete tags.

Also, do you have the ID Tag Update utility codec installed? If yes, you can use this utility codec to delete tags.
