Where does cdripper look for this file?
Where does cdripper look for this file?
C:\Windows\
Spoon
www.dbpoweramp.com
Copied it there from \Users\<user>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windows. Does not find it. Set permissions for both to all access for users and administrators. Still does not find it. I can look at the text file and find the cd.
I copied it there (to windows) and then refreshed CD Ripper and it populated the tracks correctly when I told it to retrieve from cdplayer.ini
This is how I did it, in case anyone in the future is wondering.
So, I'm using something called, "Player" http://www.vuplayer.com/ to get the CDDB info.
I put in the CD and it populates the info.
I export it (CRTP+P)
Then I copy the cdplayer.ini that is indeed located in \Users\<user>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windows into c:\windows (you will have to say yes to permissions, over-riding existing, etc)
Then in CD Ripper I say Retrieve MetaData From > cdplayer.ini
nkfjBmY.png
then I hit refresh in CD Ripper and the info is populated.

Which Windows version are you using? I.e. I couldn't find a cdplayer.ini on any of my Windows 10 systems. I'm of the opinion that ini files vanished several Windows versions ago.
Dat Ei
I don't use it, but I do see "CDplayer.ini" as a selected choice in my CD ripper settings for "Active Providers" of metadata. I don't have any "CDplayer.ini" file on my computer (win10) harddrive. Perhaps this is a file that is on some actual physical CDs and not the computer itself?
