1. dbpa Batch Converter, convert to "ID Tag Update" and use various options to replace names
2. PerfectTunes
3. mp3tag 'actions' to do the same basic thing as item 1 above. This can also get very fancy and strip out all " and ' etc. but I've not used that function and requires a bit of regedit formulation....
If your sort tags contain non-alphabetic characters, this should not be a problem unless you have tags like:
Corea, "Chuck" and Corea, Chick
where you expect the sort order (ascending) to be:
Corea, Chick
Corea, "Chuck"
because, it will probably be:
Corea, "Chuck"
Corea, Chick
Garym/Mville,
Cheers guys, I'll respond over the weekend...
Paul
Hi Garym,
I am quite unsure as to how to proceed, I am afraid. I guess I must have the wrong option selected? (please see attach.)
Thanks,
Paul

Sorry about that, Garym.
There should be no limitations now:

Looks like you are converting to FLAC and using ID TAG UPDATE DSP as part of FLAC conversion. That's not what you want to do. If you want to delete tags, you CONVERT to "ID TAG UPDATE" DSP, not FLAC. Then within the conversion popup box you can delete tags, etc.
Hi Garym,
I have spent a couple of days now messin' around tryin' to follow your steps but I am afraid I am just totally dumb here and can'grasp it at all!
In the first instance, do I need to be on THIS page, please:
Sorry to be such a complete lame brain again!
Cheers.
