Given slowness, is Ultra Secure necessary for bit-perfect rips?

I am ripping with C2 pointers enabled in Ultra Secure mode, but it is taking around 30 minutes for a 60-minute CD. Is Ultra Secure causing the slowness? Is Ultra Secure necessary for a bit-perfect rip? Thanks.

If the CD is not in the AccurateRip database, then Ultra Secure is the only possibilty to get a verified result, even though this verification is only based on the checksums of your own repeated readings.

So, if the CD is in the database, Dbpoweramp will bypass Ultra Secure and use regular Secure?
