Asset UPnP v6 Library not showing on Bose SoundTouch

Hi
I was using v5.4 with my Bose SoundTouch, the Asset UPnP library was showing and could be added to the device library. Since updating to v6 the Bose can't see the Asset UPnP library any longer. I can see and play the Asset UPnP v6 library from other devices (android, Widows, AC receiver).

Any help with this would be great...should i go back to v5.4 to test it out...

Try rebooting everything, including your router.

Rebooted the router, PC, even reset the Bose SoundTouch. Asset UPnP v6 library still would not appear.

I uninstalled v6, rebooted, cleared the AppData\Roaming folder. Reinstalled v5.4 and set it up. The Asset UPnP library is now showing on the Bose SoundTouch.

If you could enable the debug log in Asset after installing R6 then restart Asset, wait 5 mins, then post the contents of the log here please.

Hi,
after having installed R6.3 on my QNAP TS-473 I'm experiencing the same issue in combination with my Bose Soundtouch. All other endpoints recognise the V6 library and work fine.

As I was not able to retrieve a solution for this issue in the web, could someone kindly point me to the right entries, or is a solution still pending?
Have switched back to the previously installed R5.1 version - everything works fine with R5.1, including ST.

I'm the OP. I never did go back to v6, then some time later I sold my Bose ST.

I'm sure Spoon will chime in soon - have that debug log ready! (see the post above yours)

Are you able as a test to try Asset on your PC, download the trial version and see if it shows on the bose.

There has been another reported issue with similar symptoms, version R6.4 contains an attempted but unconfirmed fix for it.

Have installed Asset R6.3 on my MacBook Pro with OS Catalina (10.15.1) - unfortunately, again - no entry in the ST.
Have installed the Asset R6.4beta on my NAS - that works :-):-):-)

Just reading the notes for R6.4 beta, seems the ST has an issue with that changed Unique Identifier format in R6.3, I guess (this is just for my comprehesion, no reply necessary if my guess goes in the right direction)

Hello,

I am using Asset release 7 and am not able to see Asset from the soundtouch app. If I use Bubble UPnP (Android app) I can use asset and point to my Bose radio without issue. Is there something I need to enable to get asset to show up in the soundtouch app?

I was using Serviio but want to switch due to Bose not supporting high-res FLAC and want the ability to transcode which Asset seems to support well.

Thanks. I did try this although it did not resolve anything. I even factory reset the Bose to see if that might help, but it still will not show Asset. I know the Bose is working because it does show my DirecTV box in the list.

If asset is appearing on other devices (bubble for example) that shows it is working correctly.
