Ripping compared to EAC -> different file size (?)

Just a question for me to understand...

I just wanted to compare ripping a CD to WAV using dBpoweramp and EAC. The options were just the same, using AccurateRip and Secure-rip in both programs and no cover embedded. Tags were identical set.

Since WAV is the "original" filetype on a music-CD I expected the resulting filesize of each of the ripped files to be equal in dBpoweramp and EAC. But actually...they were NOT ....(??)
Ripping to flac(5) same result = different size. Always the file ripped with dBpoweramp is a little bit larger.

    Why is that ...??

dBpoweramp writes ID Tags to the wave file, EAC does not.

Flac you cannot compare as we will be using a different version to EAC.
