Can't move columns, only the column title moves

Can't move columns, only the column title moves, the data remains on its original place.

I tried with XP, Windows 10, R 16.1

There is no such problem in explorer.

I have the same exact question as hopalong. I would like to move the Artist column next to the Title column, but they do not drag and drop. Can you tell us where in the settings can we re-order the columns?

I was able to find a thread that solves our problems...

Turns out that rather than dragging and dropping the columns, you re-order column positions by right-clicking on the columns to view the settings. You then uncheck all of the column categories. Now that you have a blank slate, select the categories you would like to display in the specific order you want them in, starting from left to right.

You alerted me, so I checked this issue in version 17.1, and the column move works perfectly.
