I'm sorry but I still cannot see how to type in the names of containers manually.

In Asset UPnP Configuration (for windows), the Container >> Selected drop-down menu is also a textbox, so you can type any text value e.g. Soloists

I am unfamiliar with Asset UPnP for the QNAP platform(s).

I reinstalled Asset on Windows. I agree with you that editing the configuration settings in this version is straight forward.
I have started a thread on the Asset sub-forum asking how to do the same thing in the QNAP version.
