    HDCD Ripping problem

I have been ripping HDCD's with no trouble until Live's "Secret Samadhi". Audio quality is fine, but tracks are cut short by a minute or two. Without the HDCD DSP it does rip as normal.

    Any suggestions?

Try ripping the cd without hdcd effect, then convert lossless >> lossless with the effect.

would that capture the HDCD layer from however it is stored on the original disc?

I mean, captured as a 16 bit file it will be a string of 1's & 0's.... surely it is not going to capture more 1's & 0's than the 16bit file will play, so there would be nothing extra to convert into the 24bit extension?

HDCD is encoded into the 16 bits.
