16.1 doesn't rip my CDs as WAV files

I have been a dBpoweramp user for years since version 14. Upgraded to 16.1 recently and noticed the new software has been ripping some of my CDs to "_file" instead of "WAV file". Windows Media Player and my music streamer cannot playback these files and render them as errors.

    Please help.

What backup software do you have installed?

Backup software? None. Anyway, it was working absolutely fine with R15.3.

It will occur this way... For example when I rip a CD with 5 tracks, the first two tracks are "_ files" and the remaining three tracks are "wav files". However when I stream the files into the media player, it will read the first track as error and will not play until I forward to Track 3 (which is a wav file).

CD Ripper rips to these temp files, then renames after the whole disc is ripped, this is so media players which index your location the files are ripped to do not try to add the file whilst is being ripped. However if another program such as antivirus blocks the final renaming part then you will be left with ._ files. You can disable this feature it is on the CD ripper menu >> CD Ripper Options menu.
