If I turn on C2 error pointers but my drive doesn't support them, what will happen?

Hey there, I'm just wondering what would happen if I turned on C2 error pointers and my drive didn't support them. Also, how do I know if C2 error pointers are working on a section of a CD, and will there be some sort of thing that pops up during ripping?

    Thanks

    Hey Brady,

it is most likely that you will get ripping errors. Even drives, that claim to support C2 error pointers, produce errors if they are not 100% C2 error pointer compatible. But nevertheless - you can have bit perfect rips even without the support of C2 error pointers, as long as your rip is checked to be accurate.

One of my drives rips fine with C2 pointers enabled, but is much quicker with them disabled - I leave it disabled! As Dat Ei said, as long as you get an Accurate, I'd go for the quickest option.
