Primera Composer - Optical Drive - USB Drive Upgrade Recommendation?

I'm experimenting with an old Primera Composer - it works fine but I'm thinking about upgrading the drive.

The existing drive is a Sanyo CRD-BP1600PTD / Feb 2002 / Ver4T39 (firewire)

Any recommendations for a USB drive that would be compatible with a Primera Composer and dbPoweramp?
