Flac to Apple Lossless - IDTag values going missing?

I have been converting my collection of FLAC tracks to Apple Lossless. I've noticed that on importing the .m4a track to iTunes, not all the tag values are present. In particular it appears that where the FLAC track has multiple composers (A B ; C D), in the .m4a track only one of these (the first?) will be present (A B). Similarly for the ComposerSort values.

Is this a bug, a deficiency of the .m4a format, or have I just missed an option somewhere?

    Thanks

    Pete

EDIT: Should have said, Music Converter Release 16.

Historically, iTunes did not support multi-value tags (and I assume from your post that this is still the case) so I convert all my mp3 multi-value tags to single tags before adding to iTunes.

Check the iTunes help/forums to confirm if this is still the case.

Yes is still the case, Apple only support one artist per track.
