Mac licencing issues

Is the licence per household/person or per machine ?. I have a Macbook Pro Retina (Mavericks) and Mac mini (El Capitan )

I think it's quite clearly expressed on the purchase-page. License for a single computer is X amount of money, licence to 2-5 computers (family pack) is Y amount.
