Loud spike at the end of converted files
Hi,
I am using the following configuration:
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit laptop
Intel i7-4600M CPU @2.90GHz
16GB memory
dBpoweramp 64-bit Registered Reference Release 15.3
Encoders (write)
Wave Release 15.3
Decoders (read)
DSD Decoder Release 2
I have recently used Music Converter to convert 13 tracks from DSD128 to WAV 24/96.
The conversion seemed to go OK without errors.
Now when I play the tracks I get a loud spike (or crackle or pop - whatever name you wish to use) at the end of each track.
Is there a way to remove this unwanted noise at the end of each track?
An option in Music Converter?
Thanks for any advice,
Chip

If you convert to FLAC you get the same?

Re: Loud spike at the end of converted files
Hello,
I forgot to mention in my previous post that playback is using Kinsky from local files on my laptop over an ethernet network to my Akurate DS/1 with the latest software updates installed.
Today I started over with the conversions.
Source material = DSD128
Converted the first two tracks to WAV using all default values resulting in 24/96 .wav files.
Each track has a noise spike at the very end (count down counter at 00:00) of the track.
Converted the first two tracks to FLAC using all default values resulting in 24/96 .flac files.
Each track has a noise spike at the very end (count down counter at 00:00) of the track.
I have this noise spike with both .wav and .flac converted files.
How can I convert the tracks without the noise spike?
Any ideas or hints?
Thanks,
Chip
