    Problem loading any DSP's

    Hey hey

Not sure if i should post this or email... anyway...
I had a slightly outdated version of dBpoweramp converter and DSP effects installed (all registered). Running win10. I noticed that when i am in the conversion menu for a file, i go to add a DSP, and there are none. I have to click "Install DSP effects now..." and I have no idea why. I don't know what to do. I uninstalled everything and reinstalled the newest (just the converter and DSP's), but the same thing prevails. It even has the "Force Non-Live" and "Fade" effects still loaded from some time in the past. Dunno..

    Thx anybody

    Tom

You are best to uninstall with this method:

...also how to do a full reset of dBpoweramp? (if dBpoweramp crashes for some reason) Where does dBpoweramp save its files / settings? It is installed to c:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp or c:\Program Files (x86)\Illustrate\dBpoweramp The 64 bit version of dBpoweramp is installed to: c:\Program Files\dBpoweramp It

Then reinstall both DSP and Music Converter (do the converter first).

          Heyo

I did all steps to perfection. All the unintalling, restarting, running the tool, then reinstalling in the right order. Sorry, took me a bit to get to this. All the old DSP's were cleared from the Options/DSP Effects list, but still, when I go to load an effect, it takes me to "Install DSP effects now...". Wowweee i wonder why?!

You have dBpoweramp reference? this is needed for DSP effects.

The Powerpack is ok for DSP effects.

Check where dBpoweramp is installed, there should be a folder 'DSPs' and it should be populated with dlls.

Where is dBpoweramp installed to? and when you install the DSP effects where does it install to?

Which version of dBpoweramp do you have? the 32 bit or 64 bit version.

                      Re: Problem loading any DSP's

                      Version:
                      dBpoweramp 64-bit: Registered Power Pack
                      Release 15.3

Asset UPnP: UPnP (DLNA) Audio Server
                      ----------------------
                      Directory for poweramp:
                      C:\Program Files\dBpoweramp

I think i may know the problem. I assumed that my particular registered version of dB with powerpack registered had the powerpack built-in. I thought dBpoweramp-dMC-DSP.exe would have powerpack built inside it. Maybe i need to download a powerpack file separately for installation? I actually can't find any powerpack file to install within my folder where i keep downloads.

i don't know why it installed there. I hate all the dumb "user" directory, and really, user anything in windows. Anyway, there in the folder are all the DSP dll's. But, when i go to Add DSP Effect --> Load, the program searches only for *.dspeffect. It doesn't search for .dll

Uninstall the DSP effects, and reinstall to:

                              C:\Program Files\dBpoweramp
