    Equalizing volume lvels

    Hi All
Is there a way I can add some kind of equalizing volume filter to music already ripped to a USB or external drive - without losing any audio quality/fidelity.
Lately I'm finding newer music I've ripped to be much louder at the same volume level on my amplifier.
    I am not technical

If you create a duplicate library of FLAC files, so the original ones are untouched, you can use batch converter to convert Flac >> FLAC with the DSP effect 'Volume Normalize', set to the same location as originals, and overwrite the existing flac files with the volume normalized.

Thanks for that info. Any particular settings I need to use in the Volume Normalize ?

Try the EBU volume normalize option, the rest of the settings left to default.

You could also consider using the ReplayGain Utility Codec, which is non-destructive and the resulting tags are compatible with foobar2000.

There's plenty of info on ReplayGain in these forums, if you need more help.
