Question Mp3 quality and used DSPs

    Hi!
Will be an increasing quality if i choose these DSPs for Mp3 320 CBR Lame Encoder conversion?

    DSPs:

    1) Bith depth 32 float point + Volume Normalize + Trim Silence + Bith Depth 16 with T. Dither and finally mp3 conversion

    or

    2) Volume Normalize + Trim Silence and finally mp3 conversion.

    Thanks and Regards !!!

What is the source for this mp3 conversion?

... and what is the playback device/software?

Source is from Flac Files EAC Ripped from Wav CD.

... and what is the playback device/software?
The playback is Sony television, my Car CD Player or my computer, so ......simple Playback devices.
    Thanks !!!

Just convert the wav files to mp3 (320 CBR Lame Encoder).

If these playback devices do not support replaygain or gapless playback, then you can add the Volume Normalize and Trim Silence DSPs.

If the Sony TV and computer media player can play wav files, then this would be better.

... sorry I don't mean wav files (as stated here), I mean flac files.

I'd go one step further and say that for "simple" playback, especially for older ears, just convert to mp3 using the VBR-2 quality selection and you'll never notice the difference. It is very unlikely that any of those sources would give you any audible difference, even at VBR-4. (VBR-2 is one step below lossless but way smaller file size.)

If you are unsure, since YOUR EARS are the key limit, do some critical listening with the best headphones or speakers that you can find. If you're over 30, ask an audiologist for a free hearing test (there are some on the web as well, but those are limited by your equipment). Numbers are all well and good, but when the real limit is your ears....that's what counts.
